Here are a few smaller projects that I’ve worked on over the years.
- 2021: Surveybot, a discord bot to track “anomalies” in Starscape.
- 2025: MASLAB team 7, aka “Ricky and the Rizzlers”. I helped design our arm and claws, as well as program some of the autonomouse cube seeking.
- 2025: The hardware and electronics for a pipetting machine for MIT’s Fluids and Health network.
- 2025: A go-kart drive for MIT’s power electronics laboratory (6.222/6.131). This involved designing and building a buck regulator and totem-pole circuit.
- Jan. 2026: A sound gun made in collaboration with a few friends for the Formlabs hackathon. The gun uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect the distance of the target, and then two metamaterial lenses to focus the sound onto the target. The final result was able to achieve a 3dB increase in sound at the focal point. I designed a large portion of the body, as well as helped optimize the code to allow movement and rangefinding at the same time.
- Feb. 2026: A pair of self-focusing magnifying eyeglasses made in collaboration with a few friends for MakeMIT 2026. The glasses use a camera to select objects to focus on and determine image sharpness. Objects can be selected using voice commands (e.g. “focus on the apple”), which then use Google Gemini to find the location of the object to focus on. The end product was able to focus on objects (though with significant lag). I helped design the body and programmed the Gemini integration. This project won first place in the entertainment category!
